Copyright Claims & DMCA Policy
Clipscutter.com ("we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We do not host, index, or offer a catalogue of videos. Content is processed only when a user submits a link. This page explains how copyright owners can ask us to block content and how users can respond if they believe content was blocked by mistake.
We accept notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), under the EU Digital Services Act, and under applicable national laws, including Spanish intellectual property law.
Fastest option: use the Report DMCA form to submit video links or channel links you want blocked. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
1. What You Can Ask Us to Block
Individual videos: the full YouTube URL of each video, for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXXX.
Entire channels: the channel URL, for example https://www.youtube.com/@channelname or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXXXXXXXX. When a channel is blocked, videos from that channel can no longer be processed on Clipscutter.com.
A block applies to Clipscutter.com only. To remove a video from YouTube itself, please contact YouTube directly.
2. Notice of Claimed Infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, please include the following in your notice:
Your full name and, if applicable, the company or rights holder you represent.
A description of the copyrighted work(s) you believe are being infringed.
The video URLs and/or channel URLs you want blocked. A spreadsheet or list is fine for large requests.
A contact email address where we can reach you.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
You can submit your notice through the Report DMCA form, or by email to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Notice".
3. Our Process
Acknowledgement: we will get back to you within 24 hours of receiving your notice.
Blocking: once we have confirmed that a notice is complete, the reported videos and channels are blocked from being processed on Clipscutter.com. Users who try to process them will see a message that the content is protected by its copyright owner.
Follow-up: we may contact you if we need more information about the work or about your authority to act for the rights holder.
Ongoing protection: rights holders can send us more links at any time, and new reports are added to the existing block list.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe content was blocked because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] that includes:
Your full name, address, and email address.
The URL of the blocked video or channel.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was blocked as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts competent for your address, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.
Your physical or electronic signature.
We may forward the counter-notice to the original claimant. Unless the claimant tells us that they have started legal action, we may restore access after reviewing the counter-notice.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
We may restrict or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly use the Service to infringe the rights of others, including users who try to get around blocks placed at the request of rights holders.
6. Misrepresentation
Knowingly submitting false or misleading information in a notice or counter-notice may make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Please make sure your submission is accurate and made in good faith.
7. Trademarks and Other Rights
For concerns that are not about copyright, such as trademark or personality rights, please email us at [email protected] with full details and we will review your request.
